The JumpDrive S73 is very light, weighing just 9 grams it's one of the lightest flash drives we have seen. From a performance perspective the JetFlash S73 is disappointing, we expect more from a recent USB 3.0 device, this drive is only a little faster than some USB 2.0 drives. In terms of value the JumpDrive S73 lands somewhere near the bottom of the pack, despite its reasonable price it's let down by poor read/write performance. [Jun '12USBFlashPro]
The 64 GB Flash Voyager GT has an impressive performance profile. You wouldn't know it without checking the serial numbers but Corsair have released several variants of the USB 3.0 Voyager GT. With each successive version slightly besting its predecessor, this is the best flash drive I have seen from Corsair to date, it even beats the GT Turbo which is more recent. The strongest area of relative performance for the GT is 4K read speed where it achieves 20 MB/s, unfortunately its 4K write speed is almost equally poor clocking in at just 0.15 MB/s. I don't generally like that sort of imbalance in a flash drives performance because it means that from time to time I will get stuck waiting an inordinate amount of time for a data transfer to complete. Taken as a whole the 64 GB GT is a competent performer that's let down by its relatively weak 4k write speed. [Sep '13USBFlashPro]
We highlight the best USB flash drive in terms of balanced performance and value for money using current prices, sequential read, sequential write , 4k read and 4k write speed. The speeds are combined to form a single effective speed which measures performance for tasks such as copying photos, music and videos. Effective speed is adjusted by current price and capacity to yield value for money. Finally thousands of individual user ratings are used to validate our benchmark figures. [USBFlashPro]
