The 64GB Jumpdrive P10 is Lexar's 2013 upgrade to their flagship Triton range of flash drives. The P10 shares the same excellent body as the Triton and delivers actual speed increases in the region of 30% over its predecessor. In terms of price there is not a huge increase so I do prefer the 64GB P10 to the 64GB Triton but the upgrade is less pronounced than when going from the 32GB Triton to the 32GB P10 where performance increased by nearly 75%. Despite its record breaking sequential speeds the 64GB P10, like the Triton and the other P10 drives, struggles in the area of small 4K random writes. If you are planning to use this drive to copy small files or to host applications you will likely be disappointed otherwise for tasks such as copying video and audio files this is one of the fastest flash drives you can currently buy. There are no read/write speeds on any of the official documentation for this drive, usually a pretty clear signal, and an accurate one in this case. I don't have this drive nor will I review it properly as the performance figures are terrible - the 4k write speeds are close to zero! This drive only just outperforms a lot of USB 2.0 drives from five years ago, I am really surprised that Kingston have released this so recently as it has no chance of competing in the now, extremely competitive USB flash drive market. We highlight the best USB flash drive in terms of balanced performance and value for money using current prices, sequential read, sequential write , 4k read and 4k write speed. The speeds are combined to form a single effective speed which measures performance for tasks such as copying photos, music and videos. Effective speed is adjusted by current price and capacity to yield value for money. Finally thousands of individual user ratings are used to validate our benchmark figures. [USBFlashPro]
