We had high expectations for this drive, unfortunately we were slightly disappointed. On the positive side the drive has excellent sequential read speeds, but the performance profile is unbalanced and the drive is significantly weaker at writing. In terms of build quality the drive is lacking, the plastic feels loose and the drive rattles when you shake it. Overall this drive has above average performance but is also priced higher than average leaving it reasonable value for money at best, there are better deals to be had at this time. The Adata Dashdrive Elite S102 Pro 64GB has proven to be a popular USB 3.0 flash drive. I did a full review of the 16GB version back in 2012 and little has changed since then. The S102 Pro still has the same robust form factor and reasonable performance profile. The 64GB S102 Pro has sequential read/write speeds of 105/50 MBps which is exactly in line with the indicated speeds on Adata's website. Peak small 4K file performance is currently measuring 7.84/1.49 MB/s which is well above average for a 64GB flash drive. At present our users have only submit four benchmark samples for this model, the peak 4K speeds are likely to drop as we accumulate more samples. The 64GB S102 Pro's performace is largely in line with its 32GB sibling and it bests its 16GB sibling by around 30%. Overall the 64GB S102 Pro Dashdrive Elite represents good value for money. We highlight the best USB flash drive in terms of balanced performance and value for money using current prices, sequential read, sequential write , 4k read and 4k write speed. The speeds are combined to form a single effective speed which measures performance for tasks such as copying photos, music and videos. Effective speed is adjusted by current price and capacity to yield value for money. Finally thousands of individual user ratings are used to validate our benchmark figures. [USBFlashPro]
