The 64 GB Flash Voyager GT has an impressive performance profile. You wouldn't know it without checking the serial numbers but Corsair have released several variants of the USB 3.0 Voyager GT. With each successive version slightly besting its predecessor, this is the best flash drive I have seen from Corsair to date, it even beats the GT Turbo which is more recent. The strongest area of relative performance for the GT is 4K read speed where it achieves 20 MB/s, unfortunately its 4K write speed is almost equally poor clocking in at just 0.15 MB/s. I don't generally like that sort of imbalance in a flash drives performance because it means that from time to time I will get stuck waiting an inordinate amount of time for a data transfer to complete. Taken as a whole the 64 GB GT is a competent performer that's let down by its relatively weak 4k write speed. [Sep '13 USBFlashPro]

MORE DETAILS

Because of its fantastic headline read/write speeds, there is often a lot of interest in this drive. It's not available in 16GB so I couldn't include it in the standardized tests. Quickly looking at the 64GB Kingston HyperX 3.0 (manuf.) claimed seq r/w speeds 225/135 @ £78 or $100. Compared to the November leader - Sandisk Extreme 64GB version (manuf.) claimed r/w 190/170 @ £45 or $79. The extreme is significantly better value, and has much much faster 4K write speeds. [Nov '12 USBFlashPro]
